Delete your Zenzu account

You can delete your Zenzu account, and everything stored with it, from inside the app. No email or request to us is needed.

How to delete your account

1. Open the Zenzu app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE in the confirmation box and confirm. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.

If you can no longer sign in, write to hello@zenzu.app from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes all of it, right away:

• Your account and sign-in identity, including your email address
• Your profile: display name, username, avatar and bio
• All decks, cards, images you added, and your review history
• Study statistics, streaks, achievements and placement test results
• Course progress and generated lessons
• Conversations with Lisa, the AI coach, and everything she remembered about you
• Workspace notes and writing attempts
• Saved videos, podcasts and listening positions
• Notification tokens for your devices

What is kept

Two things outlive the account, and neither identifies you:

• Shared content caches — for example subtitles fetched for a YouTube video. These are stored per video, not per person, and are shared by everyone who opens the same video.
• Aggregated, anonymous statistics — counts that carry no account, device or personal identifier.

There is no retention period and no grace period: once deletion completes, your data is gone from our systems and cannot be restored.
